I have a wheel seal Leaking .How hard is it to pull the Hyd. cover and put it back on a 2210.Because I will have to pull the Hyd.cover and the PTO cover to fix the wheel seal.I don't know if I want to do it or pay the $50 an hour. That I don't have ,

I have never seen a 2210, but why do you need to pull the hydraulic cover?

None of that was necessary to replace the seal on my YM2000. Removed wheel, hub, seal cover and replaced. New gasket, seal and buttoned back up. Getting the hub off the axle was a major major pain........

Sometimes that hub won't come off and it's easier to just go ahead and remove the axle.

I thought I had to pull the axle.. But i may try to get the hub off .I thought it was all one piece. I order all the New gasket, seal for it .And if I do have to pull the Hyd. cover how hard is it to get back on.

Gizmo, you will have to drain housing, remove cover, pto shift rods, pto assm. differential lock shaft and fork and bull gear from axle.Axle and hub are one piece on 2210.Then remove end cap and axle can be removed from housing. This is probably not a job you want to tackle unless you have some experience on this type of repair. Also goes a lot easier with 2 people as cover is heavy and reinstalling axle in housing needs 2 sets of hands. 1 to hold gear in place and 1 to shove axle back in.I'm in SC also and if I can be of help, send me a pm.

Put the seals in the 2210 today was not that bad.The shift rods are hard if you have big hands like i do.Putting the differential lock sping in is hard .And it does take two to put the axle back in . Start at 7 AM and was done at 2 PM All but putting the tools up.The axle's on a 2210 would hold a 40 HP easy.

Did you take any pictures? Got to do this on my 2020. It would help to see in advance what I'm doing. Perhaps you could PM me with step by step instructions.
