What's your average mpg?

I had a Honda Pilot local 24.4 mpg, Interstate 75+ mph 28.8 mpg

Honda CR-V Hybrid local 40.1 mpg however, Interstate 75+ mph 36.8 mpg.

I'm disappointed in the Hybrid I expected local 44mpg.

For sure headwind and idling will kill your gas mileage.

I have a clause in my will that no inheritance money is to be spent on lavish vacations, motor vehicles of any kind or boats. If one spend the money on such after inheritance a claw back provision is activate and the money they were supposed to receive divided amongst the other heirs.

Why don't you just take it with you?

The other day I noticed the display read 14.1 MPG on my 2019 F350, and that's not too bad. The missus gets 28 MPG out of her V6 Kia Sorento, and that drops to 23 when I drive it.

Very different vehicles.

I sometimes reset the trip meter when filling up the 2003 RAM diesel and then make the 10 mile trip home and turn it into a hypermile attempt.

There is a reason they called the early RAM displays lie-O -meters
It does break 20 MPG under 70 MPH unladen usually running through a full tank hand calculated.
Model Y was averaging 260 watt hours per mile at 60 MPH. Now that temps have dropped power use is up to around 290 watt hours per mile. The colder it gets the more power the EV uses

Yep, It is generally optimistic 3-4 MPG over hand calculations over a full to empty refill.

Still funny- this 1 ton 4x4 truck is still my second best "energy miser" If I don't count the motorcycle and by quite a bit.

The wife's one year newer Ram nearly identical except half the miles on it and being the standard non H.O. Cummins and automatic gets consistently about 4 MPG Less- even if I drive it.

I never trust the meter on ANY vehicle and always hand calculate mileage. On a few they have been close but none have been RIGHT.

Just drove this car home from the shop and noted its average fuel mileage was listed as 25... Seems kinda high for in town which is where it gets driven.
