You don’t know how to find the odometer? Or a trip meter? Those are the only trustworthy tools in measuring MPG.I'd like to tell you that I know the exact mileage - but I'm still trying to figure out the dashboard controls. Today I go in to Lithia Chrysler( Spokane, WA ) for a learning session on all these controls.
Fill tank with fuel. Reset a trip meter. Drive. Refill tank with fuel. Divide miles driven by gallons filled. Miles-per-gallon.
The fool display on the instrument panel will always give a better number than the actual calculated MPG because it makes the manufacturer look better. Actually makes a liar of them.
