I keep log books for most of my vehicles, but while most everything is noted I have never entered the cost of a fill-up, or the cost of parts or fluids.

Largely because it costs whatever it costs, but also because it'd be depressing to now know much.

Emmm. I'm on the other side of the pond. When Mr Putin went into Ukraine, I changed my car to a B class diesel Mercedes, with the 1461cc, just under 90 cu. inch. I'm not going to put how many mpg I'm getting but it's regular over 70. 116hp at 70mpg, that'll do me. I've run diesels as a car for the last 25 years or so, and found modern diesels are very good. And I am still a long way from going electric, despite the pressure from the government.

I sold my 97 Dodge 2500, 4x4, 5.9 Cummins, ext cab, long bed, with a fiberglass cap. I lived in the Detroit area, going to the UP of Mich, from Detroit to the bridge at 78 mph I would get 19.7 actual mpg. From the bridge to my home town I would get 22-25 mpg actual mpg driving 62 mph, depending on how many RV's etc I had to pass on a two lane highway.
