What\'s wrong with this picture?

I got the new longer PTO shaft put together for my tiller (previuosly Need PTO Driveline help). It works-no problem but I did something dumb. Can you see it in this picture?

50% sure you stretched your antispin chain when you lift 3pt all the way?

if not that shaft is backwards?

I think you should have used a fill-flash, for you have such a contrast from the bright sunlit areas to the shadows.

After reading Gatoboy's reply, I would have to say it looks like there is more than one correct answer to your question. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Obviously that tiller is on the wrong tractor and I would greatly appreciate it if you would carefully place it behind my tractor where it belongs /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yup it wasn't a trick question as I'm not smart enough for that. When I raised the tiller the antispin chain did break. I didn't notice it until after I had tilled the neighbors garden. The clip and s hook were all straighted out- I'm surrprised it was still dangling from the shaft.

The driveline looks to be installed backwards. If that is the case and it is a radial pin style slipclutch, it won't slip. Ooo /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifps!

Is it possibly to have a pto shaft in backwards? Does it make a difference whether the outside shaft vs inside is towards the tractor or towards the implement? Also the outer plastic protector looks identical except for the tubes-one being bigger that the other. The clutch goes at the implement end and the locking spline dohickey at the tractor end.

The majority of implements have an 1 3/8" 6 spline input shaft. Your JD's PTO shaft has the same dimensions. Therefore in some cases it is possible to install a driveline backwards. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif From your response it sounds like you have it pr /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifperly installed. As long as the clutch or shearbolt yoke is installed on the implement side your ready to play!
