WHAT'S WITH THE ADS IN USER CONTROL PANEL??!!!

The past few days I have been seeing a 4X4 inch animated ad above my "User Notifications".
I don't recall seeing these until just recently...they are NOT tractor related, why are ads for Dukes Car Stereo, Allstate, and Newegg, etc. appearing all of a sudden?

Is anyone else here experiencing same issue?

I hadn't looked there in awhile, so I hadn't noticed that. I just now got an ad for Bloomingdale's (not animated, though:laughing. So I left that page, then went back and got 4 ads (links) to different tractor part sales places. Someone has to pay for ads to keep TBN working and free for the rest of us.

We've had an ad spot there for a long time (2 years) but we just updated it recently... let me check into moving or changing it on Monday for you guys. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the clarification, I am on TBN every day and for the life of me I cannot recall seeing that one prior to today, thought maybe I am getting senile...or I wondered if the browser I am using...IE 9, that I recently changed to had anything to do with the appearance of the big, animated ads I am asking about.

I too understand ads are needed to keep this forum available to the members.

Bird, my User Control Panel is always the very first spot I go to on TBN, that way I can view my subscribed threads right off.

I don't know. I didn't get Internet service until August 24, 1998, and I don't remember just when I first found this website, but probably not long after that. It had a different name and was only a Kubota discussion forum back then. I just don't recall what or when the ads started. I guess the name changed in early 2000 and that's the reason I show to have joined in Mar 2000, although I was a member on the old board before that.
