Front-End Loader whats this part for?

our loader has a bracket stowed above the arm of the loader secured by a lynch pin. it appears to be secured so its easy to remove , anyone know what its for, ?

It's the safety prop to put on the loader lift cylinder for when you're working on the tractor and have to be under the loader.

You basically lift the loader, pull the prop off, and put over the one of the lift cylinders. I believe one end of the prop is curved, that goes to the pivot point and the other straight end.

thanks, it rattles a little bit so i think i will put a bit of insertion rubber under it to quieten it.
