Whats the point of the BX model?

Is it true the FEL can only like like 900 pounds? Im not trying to start anything but whats the point in that?

I'd say the point is that there are a lot of people out there that dont need anything bigger... probably why they are selling so many so fast!

I was in the market for one but chose to step up to the B2910 because of ground clearance issues and future projects that will require a little more "oomph". Right now the B2910 is actually too much for my current needs but I was looking down the road...

I do not think the BX can lift that much. I have a B7500 and it's lift is about 700 lbs.It's mainly for mulch and small jobs.

The BX FEL is rated to lift 460 pounds. While it pales compared to the Case backhoes I grew up with, ( and my brother currently owns ) I have an extremely handy tool that helps me around the house immensely. I don't load several dump trucks daily,or anything like that, but I can spread a load of topsoil, move some mulch, plow the driveway, and do many other tasks. Then I can remove the FEL and have a very fine lawnmower. For many of use, it is what we need and all we need.

Have you ever tried lifting 900lbs??? I know I can't - It may not be real high in the tractor world, but as a tool it sure is a huge help. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Whats the point?? Obviously you know little about the compact tractor market. The BX series is probably the single greatest innovation in compact tractors in the last decade. With one swoop, Kubota launced an entire industry, and I would bet there are more BX tractors sold than the entire line-up of some brands....which will remain nameless at the moment.

What is the point? Different sizes for different uses. Small, medium and Large. I am sure not going to mow my 2 acres with a 20" push mower, nor will I do it with a 20' batwing bush hog. The bx is perfect for my needs including the bucket.

At 900 pounds, it lifts 900 pounds more than what I've got on the front of any of my tractors...

From my viewpoint, 900 pounds (or anything heavier than I can lift with my hands) is a very good thing! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
