I think I will call it "Big gear drive Kiotis beat weeny little Kubota hydro BXs"! It's the killer thread! Ought to just about shut down the server! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's not going to get shut down because it's obviously written by someone with a big wooden spoon who is just trying to stir things up.

For my part, My B2400 FEL will only lift 770 pounds but, as someone else said, that's 770 pounds more than I'm willing to lift ... all day long. It may be the most expensive wheelbarrow I've ever owned but I'll never own a tractor again that doesn't have one.

You sound like you are not a big fan of CUT, you either own a 150HP Case Maxxum or no tractor at all, probably the latter /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. I never was a big proponent of CUT myself, especially those smaller ones but I can still see them as being useful to some people, a rather large chunk of the potential `''tractor'' buyers in fact. I could turn it around on you and say Whats the point of a garden tractor when you can have a BX, they are way more versatile and durable, you can buy countless implements for it and they fit people with small acreage and subarbanites like a glove /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Tres, I was wondering where the JACKARSE award went. Have you had it all along? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Asuming he's not a troll, here's my list of why a BX2200 fit me just fine:

Fits on a 14' single axle trailer behing my F150.
I can load/unload it in just a few minutes to go work ground in our city.
Fits in 50" gates tightly and 62" gates easily.
Can pull a lot of different Cat 1 3PT equipment.
Has a lot of power for small HP.
Has 4WD to maximize traction.
Turfs don't tear the ground up when I drive across lawns.
Well designed and built. Bota has a good long history in tractors.
Hydro and loader work great together.
Wanna move 500# all day, use the loader.
No more shoveling and wheelbarrowing dirt.
40 Hrs= >40 YD of dirt moved, leveled, and seeded, plus other work.
Not enough clearance? No problem, I don't bid that work.
Haven't even hooked up the MMM.
Looks and sounds cool!
Cost effective for me.
I'm the envy of my neighborhood, especially when I clean their driveways!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Was that ever, really, a concern? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Henro: the point was to ask basically what everyone does with there Bx model tractors but not directly asking the question. Nothing against any member or Kubota(love kubota). I think ManofMystery gave a good description of what it can do. To me the BX models seem a little weak but i forget im used to operating big machines like the Kubota L35 that can lift 1700 lbs and a Case 570 Landscape Loader. Im planning on buying a small ranch 50+/- acres so id buy something like that. Thanks to who replied.

What? Only 1700#? What's the point? My M6800 lifts over 2500#. I guess the point is that big tools for big jobs and smaller ones for smaller jobs. And with many types of material, the smaller tractor can move the same stuff, just take a little at a time. I personally don't like using my big machine in my yard. It is built for use in the field. It is good in the field. I want a little tractor too for use around the yard.

I think with the BX series in particular, the machine is designed as a great mower, with the convenience of a very handy FEL available. Like many said, the loader makes short work of lifting tasks that would be tedious, painful, or downright impossible to do by hand. Does it lift what my M6800 can? No, but it doesn't need to. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
