Bowie, TX is a small town with a population of about 6,000. Guess what is coming to this little town? I was shocked to drive by and see it. This should save me over 20 miles on a round trip to the next nearest store. Woohoo! With this and a Super Wal*Mart, what else do you need?:D

Good Mornin Jim,
Well with gas prices being what they are, and having a fun store like that close by, Im thinking you may spend some quality time at that establishment ! ;) I always enjoy my trips ! :)

Looks like a good employment opportunity for 18 year old kids who know nothing except how to use a cell phone. Good luck!

Jim, believe me, the money you save on gas will evaporate very quickly. It should turn into something you can touch and feel though.:p

I think I might be more excited if the new sign on the front said "Harbor Freight":D

I have a Northern Tools and a Harbor Freight within 5 miles of where I work. It's perfect distance for a lunch hour trip.

And speaking of Harbor Freight, does anyone else in a small town have those Cummins Tool Sales where they set up and sell out of the back of a truck? You get a flyer in the mail about 1 week before the truck shows up in town. I went to one of those and I will never go again. If you find something you want, you spend 1/2 hour in two lines (one to pay and one to pick up). Nothing they have is worth my standing in line for an hour. No thank you.

Hey Jim,

I love TSC for buying bolts. Good selection and prices. They also have good prices on their hand tools and air tools. My air chisel is awesome from there, and I've really abused it!!!!!

There are issues with what they keep in stock, but I guess that is true with allot of stores. They have sales all the time and the discount coupons can really make it worthwhile to shop there.

I have an Atwoods almost next to my local Tractor Supply, and it's easily ten times the store that Tractor is. More selection, better prices and awesome service.

I agree with that. It is thirty miles to the nearest TSC where I shop. When ever I am in the area of the nearest Atwoods which is 60 miles away, I always stop in to see what they have which is a lot more than TSC. I sure wish they would build an Atwoods closer.

Jerry, the nearest Atwoods to me is nearly 60 miles also in Wichita Falls, Tx. It's on the northwest side of town and I rarely go that far when going to Wichita Falls. The next time I will try to remember and make a special effort to check out the store. I've never been in an Atwoods.

Wow, you have it all! Just save the receipts for those FEW items that say "made in china".:) We still have the 70 miles rt = $15 gas, to get to our SUPER Wal*Mart.

Eddie, I thought I was the only ATWOODS fan on tractorbynet. :)

My first guess to your question was StarBucks.

Boy did I miss this one. Drove right by that store when leaving your place in April. Forgot to tell you about it.
Got a new store in our area. Saves about 5 miles from our previous closest store.

(Raising hand) Cummins tool sets up shop here every six months or so. But, since Harbor Freight has opened stores up in the area I find no reason to go to the Cummins Tool sales.

The store is open now, Ron. I was up last weekend, but got there just after they had closed.:( I'm on vacation the rest of this week, so maybe I can go spend some quality time in the store.:)
