What\'s a Visitor member?

I just noticed a poster (bswole, Visitor ) with five posts having a level termed visitor.

But the FAQ does not list visitor as a user level...

And I remember someone recently having his title changed by Muhammad from visitor to something else...

So out of curiosity, I wonder how one becomes a visitor with posting privileges, as compared to being a new member... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I saw a member with over 60 posts the other day who was also termed as a "visitor" /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Perhaps there is some sort of 'certification' or approval process the management must perform that converts a posting vistor into a member, as opposed to just getting posting priveleges from registering.

We used to have the first member title (0 posts) be "Visitor" and New Member assigned when they made their first post... then we changed it to New Member with Member coming at 25.

So what's happening is if somebody registered when the 0 post title was Visitor, they need to get to 25 before it changes to Member.

So, I guess it's safe to say, that's their punishment for registering and then waiting too long to post. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Since no one believed me last time, I took a screen shot of the one I found this time.
The same user is listed twice on the "who's online" screen, both as a "Visitor" AND a "New Member"... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

They are twins -- Oren and Oscar. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Or one name starts with an Oh and the other a ZERO.

I believed you. I was curios about the member with 60 posts and why it wasn't fixed. Apparently though, it was fixed.
