Canopy What type of canopy?

Guys, The one thing my wife requests on the new tractor is a canopy. I'd rather just feed the ol' skin cancer. I'm really afraid I'm going to knock it off pronto. I have plenty of trees on my place. Any suggestions as to who or where and how much it's going to run?

I've got a canopy on one tractor and looking for a ROPS to fit the other so I can install a canopy on it. (MF150-same as 135 ROPS)

A canopy is almost as good as air conditioning on a tractor. half or more of the chores I do with either tractor require getting on and off several times and hour usually. Air conditioning spoils you. You can't hardly push yourself out of that aquarium you're in. (Yeah, I'd like to have one though) A canopy keeps you cooler and lighter shade of red. A GOOD one is strong enough to deal with small limbs and you learn not to run in to the big ones. It's a learning experience first time you use a canopy, but I bet you end up liking it.

You could always get a buggy top.. not as good as a canopy.. but better than skin cancer..

I have so many trees that I don't need a sunshade. A "Falling Object Protection System" is a different story. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Between branches, walnuts, acorns, and birds, it could be useful. What happens to the FOPS when you fold the ROPS? Would it end up sticking up as high as the ROPS so you can rip it off on the garage door?

I'm sure there are a lot of good canopies, but I had the one from Wells Ag Company that was strong enough to mount a rear view mirror, two tiltmeters, and front and rear work lights. It did get to scrape a few trees and limbs, but only one enough to bend the back edge when I backed under a big limb.

Considered it, but they DON'T hold up to tree limbs very well. Considering the new place we moved to has a GRAND TOTAL of 6 tree's, I might not need to worry about that.

I have the aluminum diamond plate version of the Wellsag canopy. I have some dents and bangs on it from backing into a couple of trees and hitting a few steel trusses. If I had a fiberglass canopy it would have been toast a long time ago.
