Hello,
I recently bought a TC35A NH tractor that had sat for five years before I bought it. It's last oil change happened in 2013, and only 25 hours have been put on it since then. Are there any major things to look out for with this machine?

Is the engine stuck/seized? If not, will it run?

Congrats on the purchase! Did the tractor sit inside or outside? How many total hours are on it? What was it used to do by the previous owner? Did you get a maintenance log from the previous owner?

Look for problems with hoses and tires. Rubber ages.

No, the tractor runs perfectly and started up immediately.

Thank you! It sat inside a shipping container that was seldom opened. It has 350 hours on it. The previous owner used it for loader work and cutting his yard for the most part. I did not get a maintainence log with the tractor.

With 350 hours, there can't have been much maintenance to log.

Since it was kept in a shipping container, it should be in near perfect condition. Id change the fluids and filters and lube every moving part. Make sure the battery terminals are clean. Maybe wash and wax the tins to keep them looking good.

Hmmmmm,15 year old tractor with only 350 hours on it? Most likely suffering "Dry Rot" and other problems you will never be able to overcome. Post your location and one of us will take it off your hands before it fall's in staves.:licking:
