I recently bought a 24 hp yanmar Diesel engine to be a possible replacement for my mini hoe.

It’s sitting in my garage. Trying to come up with ideas.
 
   / What to do with 24hp Yanmar Engine #2  
Use it to build a generator or stump grinder. Or what not.
 
   / What to do with 24hp Yanmar Engine #3  
Or log splitter. Or hydraulic power supply for all the above !

Send it to me. I need a little bit more power on my homemade backhoe. The little Kubota D640 with 16HP is right on the edge power wise. :laughing:

Was offered a 3 kw generator head that I bypassed.
Was NIB quality and CHEAP! ($200)
All I needed was a nice Yanmar engine!

Bought a NIB 1 KW gas genset instead.
AND have needed to use it much more often than I'd like but living in the country does have it's perks as well as downside.
Our big problem is that some power lines cut thru the forest and the tree crews basically work to rule.
I have actually observed them measure out the '25 ft right of way' and leave a 50 ft dead tree standing.
Worst yet is a huge dead birch about 4 ft next to a pole.
They don't cut birch! (let them rot and fall off)

Way over power for 3kw generator.....you could likely run 12-15kw off a 24hp engine.
