I can't say about the price, but definitely go and look at it and drive it and use the FEL.

If going yanmar. the 187 being a US model will be -MUCH- easier to get parts for usually, vs a grey unit.

Deffinately worth looking at. owner might take an offer..e tc.

Mornin Mike,
That tractor doesnt look bad and would do what you want it too ! The only problem that I see is that you said that in about 3 yrs time you would be looking for a larger home with more property, in that case you will need to sell that machine and get something larger !!!

Other than that, go look at it and test drive it!

Or keep it and have 2 tractors. A SCUT with a loader, and a companion cheap old 2wd 50 hp job would be a great pair!! The little guy with the loader gets the chores, and the big brute gets the big mowing and pulling jobs..

( of course.. i may not be the best person to ask about giving advice on the # of tractors you need to own...... )

That's the direction I'm headed. Got a new 21-hp Kubota B7510HST with LA302 FEL last June for chores around my flat, weedy 10 acres. Did everything I needed done the last 12 months. Now need to do some serious plowing and tilling on my 7 acres of weeds. So: I'm looking hard for a used 35+ hp (1960s vintage, e.g. Massey Ferguson 100 series, Ford 3000/4000, JD 1500 series)

That might actually work. She does not mind mowing with the bolens and the Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel is sometimes missing.

Knowing New England prices from looking for used SCUTs last year, that looks like a deal if its in good mechanical shape. Definitely worth checking out!
