What things are important on a new tractor?

Get chain hooks for sure. They increase the usefulness of your FEL

Does welding a reinforcement bar (angle iron) across the top of the bucket and adding chain hooks affect the manufacturers warranty? I am ordering a new Mahindra 3215 and am interested in adding them, but don't want to void the warranty.

In order for your warranty to be voided, they must prove that the modifications you made are what caused the warranty failure.

Someone told me that modifying the bucket would not void the warranty but I will read the manual and ask the dealer just to be on the safe side. I hope it won't void it because those hooks are very handy to have.

If you come in to the dealer with the loader frame twisted and you have a hook welded on one edge of the bucket, they may assume that you tried to pick up something heavy located on one side. It's real easy to abuse a FEL by picking up heavy stuff from one side only and not even realize that you are operating in an abusive mannor.

That would be the only real warranty denial situation that comes to mind.

I agree and would never try to lift something from just one side. Better to balance the load across both FEL arms by using both hooks with the load balanced between the two.

I say the same thing (and even know that it is true)...


But have lifted some fairly heavy stuff from an outside edge hook on occasion. Some times, lift happens!

Myself, I look for comfort, amount of frame/axle diameter, smooth powerful engine(NOT A SHAKE'N' BAKE). Also, indepenfdent PTO, Hydraulic capacity,ect. Just a few things on the list.

Quick attach a must. One rear remote for hydraulic toplink at least.
