What the heck is it??

This was on the door of my truck the other day. Is it a newly hatched spider? The darn thing looked like a white octupus. It was white with a red mouth. If it was a baby I guess you can call me a baby killer. What do you think? It looked as though it had the texture of a mushroom.

It looks like a momma crab spider carrying its egg.

Never heard of a crab spider up here in the north. I thought it was something just born because it looked quite fragile. Never seen one before, therfore the pic. After you gave me the name of the critter I did a search and it sure nuff resembles the one in the link. Thanks for the info.
