What the **** happened?

I have a nice looking pressure washer pump sitting in my lving room for almost a month already. I think it trumps anything from the pages of her decorating magazines.

For some reason, the Wife has total disdane for anything from the garage being in the house. The kitchen table is still the best place to rebuild carburetors.

I can absolutely relate.
It was too cold out in my shop last Spring, so I assembled bee equipment in my living room.
Air compressor, nail gun, glue, etc.

When I lived in Minnesota many years ago, I knew a pilot who pushed his Howard (aircraft) up on the front lawn, took out his picture window, and overhauled the engine as it stuck through the window, into the living room.
Nice warm January working conditions in the living room.

I may sometimes leave a bit of material on the table, but tools get put away when finished with them. Sometimes I put them away too quickly and have to dig them back out to finish a job.
Always put away any left over material before starting a new project. That is one of the pros with having a small table, it has to be cleaned up to use it.

When both your workbenches are in chaos, where else to go but the dining room table?

My dining room table is more my horizontal filing cabinet... I 'mostly' know what's on there although I still come across surprises.

("THAT"S where it went!")

It worked for beds..... Why Not ?

The Murphy Workbench - The Wood Whisperer

Can't bury it with "Stuff", when it's vertical.....

.... thinking of Carlin's "Stuff" routine..... but knowing him, it's likely not TBN safe to post.....

This was my little machining corner of my shop for about 30 seconds after we moved the machines into its place.

I still miss the looks of that today.

Nice!!! I may not be an expert on equipment, but I can tell that yours is worth it's weight in gold.

Definitely!

For the type of work I do, those two machines are essential.

Who needs a dro? Now there's a man who knows how to machine, old skool! :D

Nice! What does it look like now??:confused3:

A mess? You know, the milling machine with its wide table is always a good spot to fill with all kinds of stuff, right?

Jokes aside, it's not too bad now as I recently cleaned most of the stuff. Just the bench it's a bit darker because of all the work done over it.

DRO? What's that fancy stuff? :D

I'll get one at some point though.

It is finding the controlled level of chaos you can work in.

I have 4 workbenches of various sizes and purposes. I tend to put tools away at end of a task. Project leftovers and stuff from last shop reorganization cover a couple of benches. Try to keep enough open space for the current or next project. The piles are slowing getting smaller as they are shift between benches.

My house workshop looks like it's been ransacked! I just see, the kitten knocked a plastic drawer of about a thousand little 6-32 screws on the floor just to help matters. Had I put the drawer back, that would not have happened. And that's usually the way it goes.

It's a Security Feature ! Yeah, That's the Ticket ! :)

Somebody breaks in when you're not there...... "________, somebody beat us to it !" !
