Yep.

But, football more than any other sport, is a team game. Completely different people play offense vs. defense. No other sport is like that. Brady could throw for 800 yards and 5 touchdowns - but, the defense could give up more points and lose the game.

I guess what I’m saying is no one person wins the game in football.

But, no doubt about it, the QB is the focus.

It’s like my son once asked when he was little. “Dad, why do they only say losing pitcher and not losing 1st baseman or losing outfielder”?

Yep, thats how my Eagles beat him in 52. They simply put up a ton of points, even though Brady & Co put up a ton, too.
However, TB is no “ game manager “, he is still a big piece of the offense.
If they can get Fournette going, the Chiefs will have a tough game.

With the not so GOAT QB Nick Foles. I guess that proves you never can be sure what may happen in the Super Bowl.

Now you are talking my hero. We havent ever won a Super Bowl in Philly, so *Nick the GREAT* is a beloved (former) Philadelphia Athlete. This plaque hangs in my office. Really POed they let him go and let go of Dougie Petersen now, too. I dont think either of them deserved their fates. Foles was great in both stints with the Eagles, but struggled everywhere else.
Here he is catching the Philly Special touchdown. Our house exploded with cheering. Such a fun time!

Foles had 28 completions in Super Bowl 52. Foles went 28-of-43 for 373 yards passing and three TDs to one interception. He rated 106.1 and averaged 8.67 yards per attempt. He also caught a TD pass

It certainly was a dream post season.

I, for one, love when a supposedly “no name” QB does good.

Heck, I was in St. Louis when someone called Kurt Warner fell into the starting QB role. That was another dream season.

Are the Eagles really thinking about getting rid of Wentz?

See-ins what happened with Goff/Stafford, it just might happen!
I just want Foles back. You know the year after we win 52 in 2017 how close we were to going back? One easy catch away from 1st & goal and a win to the conference championship. Foles makes perfect throw, Alston Jeffrey lets it go right through the wickets. Otherwise I bet we go to 53.
Hes one of our best hometown heros, along with Mike Schmidt, Reggie White, Bobby Clarke, Roy Halliday, etc.
