.....From there we slid it around on rugs into the house and up the stairs with a 10' long chain come along.

That was exactly what I was thinking when I read that...I can't think of anything in my house that would be heavy enough to come-a-long a safe.

Ok, this is my first reply - see if I do this right...
This was last weekend. I am using a concrete pipe as the top 8' of my blacksmith forge chimney. $24 for a 12" second was the cheapest way to gain height.

Ok, so it is not a tractor, but it was akward. 44' long trusses for my pole barn. I do have a TLB now, bought this weekend, so I am sure I will have something strange going on with that in the future.

Nah, not stupid. I did not know initially either.
