What size toplink....?

A generic adjustable top link is what you need. They adjust from 21-31". If you have a TSC near you, they are about $20.

Well, that might work. I say might because I have a 40 hp compact and the min, setting is 18" and I wouldn't want to give up that extra 3".

TSC has shorter ones available too at some of the stores. The body is 16" so you might be able to get as short as 18".

I was told a 16" would work. Will it?

The only way(s) to know: buy one and try it or find a 755 with a factory toplink and measure it. I bought a generic toplink for my Ford/NH 1520 when I thought my old one was damaged. The generic turned out to be too long. I could not adjust my implements properly. Ended up taking the old one apart, cleaning it up and greasing it. Still using the old one. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Unfortunately, I did not save my receipt, so I still have the generic /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

If you do what "Slorev" and "Nelson" said, you can't go wrong. Problem solved.
