What size couplings do I need?

I have a 2003 Bobcat S175 with standard flow hydraulics.
I bought a snow thrower that used to be on an older ASV. The guy kept the couplings from the hoses since they wouldn't fit my machine anyway.

I talked to a bobcat dealer on the phone and he said I may need an adapter but wasn't sure.


Any suggestions?

I put a measuring tape for reference. And listed the machine type it came off of.
I can post more pics with other references. What do you suggest?

Look at the chart KennyD posted. It's NOT just the size - it's also the type/shape. Here, locally, there is a company called - House of Hose. They have a service truck that will make field calls. I would look for something like this or start making comparisons with the chart - post #2.

I put a measuring tape for reference. And listed the machine type it came off of.

The measuring tape was on the threads, not the coupler. It looks like 1/2 NPT threads, but that does not tell you what size the couplers are...they are "probably" 1/2" flat face, but you want to be sure before spending money.

note: just noticed that the correct dia of a 1/2" FF is 24.5mm which is .9645" (chart is wrong)

Most say that Bobcat takes a 1/2" flat face coupler which is suppose to measure .94" dia. but all of mine measure .965.....wierd.

EDIT....that chart was WRONG! A 1/2" FF coupler is 24.5mm dia and equals .9645", not .94"..............

Better chart with actual numbers and not silhouettes that may not be correctly sized....

As it turned out, I brought the fittings from the existing hose with me to the local bobcat dealer and the stock couplings threaded right into them. I'm up and running! Thanks for the advice.
