what power steering fluid for FX series??

It had red oil in it and I'm replacing fluids. Searched this forum and could not find a recommendation.

I use a JD303 UTF equivalent in the hyd/trans.

Recommendations?

The red fluid is ATF. (automatic tranny fluid). Thats what I put in my power steering unit on the fx.

Ernie,
I have a Yanmar as you know that has a power steering assist system. I never thought about changing the fluid in it. Can describe how to do it? Don't know if I have the same type as other Yanmar power system units, mine is the FF205D,
made in 1991. thaks, brettw

There are many different brands specific to different vehicle manufacturers, is there any preference as to type or are they all the same?

when they arrive from japan they have atf in the power sterring reservior tank, sooo... thats what I put in them
to top them up and I have never had a problem with it.
