Oil & Fuel What oil should i use for my l245dt

My tractor says use 80 weight oil in the transmission. As far as i can tell my transmission and hydraulics all use the same resevoir. I am waiting for my I.T. manual to come in the mail hoping that it will tell me the answers to most of my questions. I have been tempted to use Kubota udt in it but not sure. I don't have any attatchments yet and am hoping that whatever i use will also work for my attatchments. It's an old tractor but in real good shape. It's my first tractor and i am planning on changing all the oils and filters.If there is anyone with an answer it would be greatly appreciated.

Although this website does not indicate the type of fluids used in your Kubota, but you may find it informative in regards to your make and model. TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors

My L245DT Manual says Kubota UDT Transmission fluid (24 qts). And yes, transmission and hydraulics all use the same reservoir.

If it is a 4 wheel drive... I likely says you 'can' use 80 w gear oil in the front axle...
Use UDT in the trans/hydro...

If you do not understand oils and fluids, stick with those recommended by Kubota.
