Oil & Fuel What oil filter for BX23?

I went to Kubota today and got everything I need for my first (50 hr) service on my BX23. The oil filter they gave me is the correct part # for the BX series but its alot smaller than the filter thats currently on the tractor. I cant see a part number for the filter thats on there now. The filter they gave me is 15853-32430. I found reference on Jennings Equipment site that mentions two filters for the BX, the 15953-32430 and the 7000-74034.

Which one do I use?

I use Wix 51064 or Fram PH3593A, same as on Honda Accord or Odyssey.

I searched and found a reference for WIx LF523 also. Maybe thats the smaller one?

I have one of each that I posted and the Wix is bigger diameter than the Fram.

I got a Fram. Its much bigger than the one the Kubota dealer gave me. I'll try to get a comparison pic for anyone else that may run into this.

The filter that comes on the tractor is a japaneese part, the replacment ones are american parts. Thats what your finding, both Kubota filters meet the standards that they are looking for in an oil filter.

Isn't another option just to stick a super strong magnet onto the filter? Wouldn't something from the following site work?
