I noticed the other night the idiot light for the charging system was on dim, it was dark out so that's how I could see it otherwise you couldn't tell during the daylight hrs.... and I thought ok it has to be one of two things...regulator or alternator so I hooked up a volt meter to it and it was putting out 16v so it has to be a regulator.

I was then in the process of thinking how I was gonna be putting in a AC delco alternator since I wasn't even gonna try to locate a regulator for this and the cost would surely be more than an AC Delco unit.
Last night I went to look at what I was gonna have to do and I noticed a broke wire on the plug (used to be a plug) on the back of the alternator so 2 min later and a new connector she was charging 14.2v:)

I hope my plug never breaks on the alt. It is dry and cracking now.

Glad you caught it!

It will look like there never was a plug before long. The connections are just spade connectors.
My 372 is parked under cover also so sun and direct rain doesn't get on her.

I know it. I keep mine in the garage since I have owned it and when I get the woodshed finished it will have a parking place out there.
