We became farmers by accident. We decided to restore prairie on about 31 out of our 80 ac last year. In order to do it we had do total kill of weeds. We didn't want to leave the ground just open so we planted Round Up ready beans. Due to very rainy season last year some of the weeds didn't get killed therefore we are planning to plant beans one more time. We had only about 35 bushels/ac due to planting late but still made net profit about $500/ac. So it looks like we will put prairie restoration on hold for next few years and plant some crop.

We raise 1500 ringneck pheasant a year on our 100 acres.Corn and soybeans for cover crops.Our secondary animals are "Raccoons and Fox" they don't get along well with the pheasant.

cash crop rent the tillable out to a local farmer, i think it is 46 tillable acres. out of 79. either corn or beans.

and then bloody neighbors cows, pigs, lamas, and sheep. that the given neighbor does not take care of. and they end up jumping fence enough that i might as well be raising them.

i should take that back. the community raises these animals. ((there not on neighbors land enough or less sick or dead)) *frowns*

After harvest the sheep will be turned loose for the next year or so.

Neighbour has most of the big gear and does most of the farming. Steiger, Lamborghini, NH and Chamberlain feature in his line up.

We planted 3000 trees this year too.
