Rest in Peace
And in the winter, used to hear "It's colder'n a well digger's hip pockets" or "It's colder'n a well digger's butt". But since you don't hear of anyone digging a well with a shovel anymore, I haven't heard that in a long time.
This I can tell you in one word, tradition."Colder than a Grave Diggers butt" was the way I always heard it. Probably not to many of those left either. I've often wondered why they don't use an auger and plant 'em straight up and down to save space and increase the longevity of the graveyard? I'm going to make an ash out of myself 'cause I'm tired of being cold.
