Actually, I read that kids today have rediscovered vinyl and the turntable and sales of records are doing real well. What?

Yep, popular now. 10-20 yrs ago couldn’t find a stereo with phono input, now that is back.

Some of the new Turntables are great. Mine allows me to record mp3 and it also has Bluetooth. I have hundreds of albums and it's fun reliving some of those times.

Playing LPs is very relaxing. One kind of forgets about the process. Reading the sleeve for the credits and lyrics, cleaning the vinyl and the needle, lowering the needle exactly to play specific songs, arranging the LPs alphabetically, etc.

I bought a new turntable last year after going about 20 years without. Saved all my albums thankfully and still stored in old orange crates.

Been sifting through and purchasing a few lately in thrift stores when killing time instead of hounding my wife.

I still have mine and at work our vehicle has a cassette player, they tell us it is in good condition and we don't need a new one!!

BOSE.

I bought the least expensive BOSE sound system (cube speakers) back in '02. It has worked flawlessly with the 3 TV's that I've upgraded to over the years, including my current 4k Samsung. There has been no reason to 'upgrade' the BOSE system, although there's no jack for an MP3 input as MP3 wasn't even developed when I purchased. (Heck, Apple doesn't even sell iPod anymore

)

My computer sound system is also a BOSE. I have a BOSE 'wave' clock/radio and recently bought (via my 'flight' points) a BOSE noise-cancelling headset.

BOSE. You get what you pay for and it lasts, even as technology advances.
