what is this pump

I recently got an older hydraulic pump and need to identify it to know if I can use it or not. If anyone can help with the manufacturer, specs like gpm's what kinda horsepower needed to run it, maybe what it come off of, etc...
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here are some pics...

Looks like a pump off a garbage truck to supply all the hyd on one of those things.

It would take lots of HP to run it.

You can check displacement by filling the pump and turn it one turn and see how much fluid comes out.

It just might be a large hyd motor like this one.

These motors take about 45 GPM to run them.

Might be worth some money.

thanks, yes it does look just about like those 10,000 series motors. I guess it's too big for my application, I was just gonna build a log splitter. Do you happen to know what range it might sell for so I can get a pump I can use?

If you knew it was a good pump/motor, you could ask some big money, but since everything is unknown, whoever buys it is taking a chance.

You could still connect it up to a hyd source and see if it will turn, but you don't want trash in your system either.

A hyd shop could test for you and about 30 min of labor. If you get a good test, then advertise it as such.
