Hi,
What is this implement?
Land plane missing a part?
Some type of lifter?
Purchased decades ago and my aunt can’t seem to remember.
We recently bought a compact tractor with some attachments and would like to put the ones we already have to use.

Commonly called a boom pole. Goes on the 3 point for lifting things.

As others have said a boom pole for lifting, back when I was a boy we row crop farmed, there wasn't a tractor on the place with a front end loader , I don't know how many fence corner posts and cow lot post's I have picked up and moved and set with a short piece of chain and a boom pole hooked up to the 3 point hitch on one of the tractors , my dad didn't believe in setting small diameter post's, we set creosote butt cuts off of hi-line poles for cow lots , most of them are still there today, the boom pole was an end to a means back then but I thank the lord for front end loaders with buckets and pallet forks.

Your boom pole looks like mine, right down to the labels and the details like where the welds are and how the pieces are cut. I think mine came from Tractor Supply Co., or possibly Central Tractor (before they merged).
