What is this flange?

I picked two up out of the ditch, not sure why. They are threaded for a 6 1/2 inch pipe.
I am just curious..

That's what I wondered. It just seems wasteful to toss them, I may throw them on the lawn of a well drilling company I sometimes drive past.

I would add them to my "possible" pile. Doesn't everybody have an out of the way spot for keeping their "possibles" safe?
