Ls 3033
LS 3033H developed front axle leak and when I went to check the level I unscrewed the cap that's all that there was, no dip stick. This is found on the starboard side of the tractor. I used a thin rod as a dip stick and there is oil but... I cramming my brain to remember why this was not addressed before. 186 hours on the clock. I suspect it is a cap used for transport and probably should have been replaced in final set up. Crazily my notes from the 60 hour check says "+1quart". Anyone with a 3033H out there that can get me some measurements off their dipstick so I can check the oil. The port side has a metal bolt head painted white. The manual shows the dipstick where the blue cap is. I will check with the dealer tomorrow.

That cap should have some small holes drilled on the sides and serves as vent for the front axle. Inside the cap there should be a check valve too.

The dipstick is located on the other side and most likely requires a wrench to take it out.

At least, that's how it works on my tractor. I can see it being very similar, although different manufacturers.

Same on my LS240, that blue cap is on the side opposite the side that has the dipstick which requires a socket or wrench to remove. On mine, the head of the dipstick is white as are the other fitting which are for checking levels. (engine oil, hydraulic oil, and axle gear oil)
