I have (or had) no idea when the first one was produced, but I still remember the first one I ever saw; 38 years ago. If you dropped a key in the floor, or someone rang the doorbell, the TV would either turn itself off or change channels. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif The owners got disgusted with it and went back to remoteless TV in a very short time. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Lets see, the greatest product of the last 20 years.......??
Do any of you remember what the 1983 IBM PC or XT looked like? (Muhammad was about 2 years old then....just teasing) Or what it was capable of? 2 floppy drives or a 10mb hard drive. I had several of them. Thats what I learned on. I powered it on with a boot disk in and said......."OK what does it do now?" DOS.......I'm telling my age now...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

...or if a dog or cat had a collar with little "bells"... the tv would turn on/off, change channels, volume be blaring out of control...

Jerry, you guys started with that great modern stuff. My first "computer" was a Radio Shack color computer, 32k memory (they had just upgraded from the 16k model), 13" TV for a monitor, cassette recorder for storage, and a 4 pen color printer that printed on a roll of 4.5" wide paper. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif And I still don't understand these machines. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
