Comparison What is the best brand of tractor?

This is the first I have heard about it, I have a lot of craftsman tools myself but haven't shopped there in 5-6 years I bet. That being said all the big K's and a few kmarts are shutting there doors around here.

I think Amazon and online shopping all together is putting brick and mortar stores out of business, at the very least really hurting. Mom and pop stores are folding like a house of cards in a windstorm.

I have a Sears store 60 miles South of me and one 80 miles North of me. I was in both of them last year. I was very surprised how low the inventory was. And a larger percentage of shelf space was taken by tools other than Craftsman brand.

I have 3 craftsman stores within 20 miles of me.

Hello everyone. This is my first post to this particular thread. I've read the entire thread and appreciate all the comments. Allow me to rephrase the original question to fit my own needs. I currently own a Yanmar F18D that has finally gone wheels up. Need a replacement, not necessarily bigger but a little bigger would be better for me for use on a homestead 3 acres.

I'm test driving TYM and LS sub compacts (lowest prices), Mahindra eMax (way too small tires), Mahindra Max series Tier IV and Mahindra 1526. (The Mahindra dealer is also a NH dealer and he says he would choose Mahindra over MH any day for a variety of reasons.

Other than aesthetics and control layout the sub compacts seem virtually identical and the compacts also seem very similar. Main differences are price (within a couple of thousand difference) and warranties (all 2 year bumper to bumper/5 year powertrain except Mahindra which is 7 year powertrain.)

Having trouble deciding which would be most reliable and best value all things considered. I'm not asking for "best" for reasons stated many pages back. Also looked at JD for similar size and feel they are more money (for similar features) than I want to pay. Don't want Kubota. It's easy to compare specs from publicity material so I don't want comments about maximum lift, horsepower, etc. I'm asking opinions/experience/comments from anyone willing to offer same specifically on TYM, LS and Mahindra. Thanks.

I would guess a smiggen less than a Snap on one and more than a Craftsman one.

Heard that Sears and Snapon are coming up with a new tool line called Crapon! Anyone else hear this?

I didn't read all 12 pages either. Who won? I sort of liked my Nelson lawn sprinkler tractors. They lasted 20 years with virtually no maintenance. Finally sold them at a garage sale (our new home has no lawn:thumbsup for more than I originally paid for them.
