After reading some of the post on my Stihl chainsaw, it got me wandering what everyone thinks which 2 cycle mix is the best? I always run high test in my equipment, do you? So let's see what everyone says!!!

I use the Stihl Ultra HP synthetic oil and 89 octance gas.

Tom, I typed it backwards. Instead of Ultra HP, it's HP Ultra.:laughing: Costs a little more, but for the amount I use, I figure it's worth it. It comes in a 6 pack, but my dealer keeps a pack open and will sell individual bottles; enough for one gallon of gas. There are actually several different Stihl 2-cycle oils and as mentioned by others, you can double your warranty by using the HP Ultra, although it's too late for me.:laughing: Of course in the 6 years I've worked my string trimmer hard, it's never been back to the dealer.

Any time I buy gas that goes into a container, I get premium and give it a double dose of Sta-Bil.

I never used stabil, I guess I will have to start!!! Using a double dose can you mess anything up?

I don't think a double dose could ever hurt anything. I probably don't use a full double dose, but I do make sure I use a full dose and a little more each time.:laughing:

I'm also a Stabil user -- the marine formula (blue, not red) is designed for gasoline that has ethanol, so that's the right stuff. Premium gasoline, because some of it goes in the chainsaw, and always name-brand oil: stihl, jonsereds, etc.
My understanding is the little bottles of 2-cycle have fuel stabilizers, but I still think using Stabil is a good idea. I've got no particular expertise, by the way!
