To obtain a "handicapped" license for a motorcycle, you will need to get a disabled parking placard or plate from your state's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), not a specific "handicapped" driver's license. This involves a doctor certifying your disability, a medical condition that prevents you from walking short distances or requires specific accommodation. Once approved, you will receive a placard or plate that can be used for your motorcycle, allowing you to use designated disabled parking spaces.

I believe a states support this but could be wrong.
I have a hard time getting on my Goldwing some days and I don't even consider myself handicapped. I believe if I was handicapped I would have to sell the motorcycle.

Depends on your out look. You can get a placard for all kind of stuff, like correctable bad vision. Some want to keep doing everything others not so much.
Should use it if your are riding a passenger that needs it once off the bike? I mean legally blind as a passenger is doable as are many others.

Having a motorcycle and a handicap placard seems crazy to me.

I believe that's actually a certain breed of motorcycle rider... but I'll be the last to tell them to move. ;)
While we are on motorcycles another pet peeve of mine is seeing the 40+ fat dude on a harley with leather jacket, nasty beard, no helmet, etc., trying to look tough.

Whoa... life is too short, dude. Don't let the little stuff bother you. :D

I find them comical, not annoying. What's more amusing than a fat guy on a motorcycle?

What gets my goat is that they often have drop dead looking GFs who are always dressed to look good. Obviously they do something right.

They usually look better from two yards than they do at six feet.

From what I understand, Florida is pretty lax about who can get a handicap placard. An old childhood friend got one simply because he's over 70 and asked his doctor to sign off on it. No disabilities that I'm aware of.

Not just Florida, have a blind child and you can have a sign for every vehicle and the child does NOT have be transported. Some abuse it to no end. IMHO
