I hate touch screens with a passion, so all I really ask from them is to let me play the music I want to hear.

But I do spend maybe 10 minutes on the touch screen (parked) when getting a new vehicle - to turn off every nanny and automated feature possible.
I drove a friend to a Best Buy last week in her Honda CRV. While I was waiting in the car, I wanted to listen to the FM radio. The owners manual is useless, maybe one paragraph about the radio, but dozens of pages about linking phones and using the Apple and Android apps. Took me 15 minutes to get the FM radio on, tuned to the station I wanted, and save it as a preset. What a POS "Infotainment system."

I did retrofit a Pioneer NEX 6200 units to boy my F150 and Town Car, but it's pretty simple to use, has navigation and it's nice to have paired with my phone to talk hands free. It did take a while serching the menus to find the control to turn it off though.

My grandmother expressed the same sentiment over programming her VCR in 1983. :D

I'm not 17 anymore, but geez, I can still find my way around a modern car radio.

That's the problem, it's not just a radio any more, it's navigation, entertainment and lots of other things in one unit. Add to that, if the user interface sucks, like the CRV's does, they don't make it easy to find what they may think are little used features.
I'm not 17 any more either, but at 73 and pretty tech savvy, I can navigate my way around any decent user friendly UI on modern devices. But like I said, some just suck.

I was just reminded of a long standing peeve...watching someone eating cottage cheese. It almost turns my stomach to watch. Even just looking at it in a freshly opened container will gross me out, as it looks like someone has already chewed it up and spit it out.

The person sitting across from my at the diner yesterday ordered a big bowl of it. She is a nice person but I wish she would have stopped talking.

lol... I actually like cottage cheese. But like yogurt or blue cheese, I always wonder how the hell we're supposed to know if it's gone bad. :D

I have an inkling it went bad just before it was processed into human food. :)

Dad would never eat cottage cheese, he said it reminded him of the spoiled milk they used to feed to the hogs.
I really like it, especially the large curd stuff with salt and pepper on it.

That reminds me of buttermilk. When I was a kid, we churned our own butter and mixed the buttermilk with grain to feed to the hogs. None of the buttermilk was used for human consumption. I was at the neighbor's at one point and he was drinking buttermilk out of a store-bought container. I guess we could have sold him some of our pig feed.

Never gave a thought to cottage cheese, but watching someone eat an egg salad sandwich has the same effect on me. Had a coworker once who had one for lunch almost every day. Couldn't eat lunch with him it so grossed me out.
