Flail Mower what is it

i recently inherited a 1954 john deer 40 and the bush hog that came with it has a leak in the front seal. don't know the make or model. when i tore it down the #'s 30-102-10 are on the inside housing. the color it blue if that helps any. was bought in the late 60's. thanks for any help provided.

a new seal can be had with the ID of the seal housing, the OD of the shaft it goes over, and the deth of the seal housing ( seal thickness. )

many times you an measure all this off the old seal and shaft with a set of calipers if you don't 100% mangle the old seal pulling it out. if you do then it's caliper and depth gauge.. ( some vcalipers do ID. OD and deptch.. etc

Yep as usual soundguy is correct.

Your source then would be a bearing supply house such as GBS (General Bearing Service) in Canada (believe they are in US as well).
Either way, yellow pages under bearings. (or on line)
