Who the hell knows, lol; it's probably the technical name for it put out when the initial design was patented.

My Kubota M6040 has a leveling box on the right lower arm. Used mainly to assist in connection of Cat 2 implements. Also to angle or level land engagement implements that do not have this feature built in.
