There is a tractor for sale near where I live. The plate on the tractor's engine block says it is a 2010W. What is a 2010W ?

The # one the engine is most likely just the engine model # nothing to do with the tractor model #. any more info on the tractor would help ,is it a garden tractor ,compact or large ag ? just trying to help out.

On JD tractors back then W usually meant wide front axle, vs the narrow tricycle front.

Yes, they made a high crop version, a tricycle, and a wide axle, along with the crawler. The wide axle was available as an adjustable version and could be set pretty wide.

I know the 25 series could be had with a narrow front. I suppose the "W" could be wide front, maybe gas, diesel, or propane? or 3 point hitch? (which was pretty new to Deere about then). Water cooled?...lol.

The 2010 was available as gas, diesel, or LP-gas. They were 4 cylinder engines.
