MossRoad- I am not saying that you are mistaken. You know your machine. I certainly don't. I meant my comment to be "oh that is an odd engineering choice by PT". I just double checked, and I have no hydraulic schematic for my 1445.

Pulled my hydraulics circuit for the 2001 model year PT425. The hydraulic cooler is on the wheel motor circuit page.

Flow goes from tank, to filter, to variable volume pump, to oil cooler manifold body, to oil cooler, then back to tank.

I'm thinking the cooler fan relay mounts into that thing listed as the oil cooler manifold body, but am not sure. I'd have to physically inspect the machine.

I have since traded a lawnmower I had purchased for a Yanmar 1500 tractor. Implement issue solved!
