Was snow blowing path around back of house today. The dog run drop line caught on the ROPS work light. The hook was hung over the storm door handle. The door is ok, but broke the handle off.

My wife saw it happen from the inside. The door suddenly opened and closed, then I unhooked the line from the tractor.

Dang, shaeff, you jinxed me. Clipped the side of the garage door with the side of the FEL bucket this morning. I was looking backwards, trying to move the last bit of snow off the driveway with the rear blade. Nobody saw me do it ... so ...

Sorry! I nearly ran the bucket across the hood of a parked car in my driveway today while clearing snow and swinging the plow around! WAY too close for comfort!

Also, if nobody saw you do it, then technically it didn't really happen, eh!?

I have thought about unhooking my pallet forks for that reason, there much easier to lose. I have just been using the rear blade to move snow and have pallet forks up front, came super close to taking out the side of a car the first snow fall, thought I had feet, turns out was closer to inches lmao

I did exactly that, except I didn't miss. My wife's car, which I have her park outside now so that the tractor can be in the garage made it even worse for me to have to tell her. I contemplated not saying anything, seriously contemplated, but wanted to do the right thing.

The next day, she went shopping and was able to see what I had done, she said, "you know, if you didn't tell me, I would have thought someone hit me in the parking lot"

That was a MISTAKE Brian !
Not hitting her car, ...but telling her that you hit her car.
Ten/Twenty/Fifty years from now, she will still be reminding you that you hit her car.
PLUS: Over time, the story will grow to how you DESTROYED the front end of her car.
They NEVER forget!

I do occasionally like to bring up the time the wife ran down and murdered one of the yard hydrants with the bushhog.

Lmao!! So true, on the 40th wedding anniversary I can see her saying, it's a good thing I didn't leave you all those years ago for totaling my car with your tractor bucket. Lol

It will deff be a fun story to remember for years to come.

Maybe let her park in the garage now lol.

Wow, that's impressive. Must have done some real damage.

I put high suction, high lift blades on my 7' finish mower with three blades once and then ran over the hose at a high RPM on the assumption nothing would happen. Took over an hour of cutting, swearing and Rolling Rock to get all the hose out from under.

Been there done that.

Oh I have popped a wheelie with the ROPS/Garage door thing. Nicked about every post supporting my deck where I can drive under it... and scarred many slats on my fence behind my garage. Also a few corner trim pieces on my garage. The Piranha tooth bar which is my favorite addition is the culprit almost all of the time. The PTB teeth on the ends of the bucket seem to always be on the prowl to nick something.

Oh how true this is!!!! I have yet to figure out how a 60 year old red head cannot find where she left her cell phone...half the time...and the other half cannot find her dang car keys. But...she can remember 100% of the stupid things that I have ever done in 40 blissful years of marriage. :(

It's not just red heads with that "gift"

Yes, but anything stupid they have ever done is gone with the wind and they forget. They say the dumb stuff they did never happened. Give me a break.

If you mention it to her again, you might end up with several breaks.

Oh oh oh that reminds me.
I was building up the ground a bucket at a time and rocks retaining wall under my deck.
Got too close to the downhill side and tractor slid sideways just enough to get the ROPS behind a deck supporting post on the downhill side.
That post now wears a chunk knocked out of it to remind me to not tilt the tractor downhill under the deck on the downhill side!
Thought I was going to have to remove that thing. Couldn't go front or backwards but about 8 inches.
Drank most of my remaining six pack working my way out of that one.

I saw a lawn guy get his zero turn rops stuck behind a power pole guy wire on a slope with similar results. He was less than excited as it was his last pass of the day on a Friday afternoon and it took him over an hour to get out.

Funny how a few beers helps with a solution! :D

This wasn't my mess but it was painful! Shortly after I took delivery of my new F150, I went to a loading dock to take delivery of a new crated Delta Unisaw. The dock was short handed and an office lady said she would load it. I was skeptical but after seeing her move around the warehouse I relaxed. Next thing I know, she somehow slid the forklift off the dock and half its weight ended up in my bed. I probably could have changed the front tires on my truck at this point. The forks pierced the bed and the crate bent the bed so that it just touched the cab. One week old and bed destroyed. I cried.
