"These machines are marketed to folks who know equipment...unlike a CUT which is marketed to folks who may have no experience in operating equipment safely (so the "nanny" regs are necessary)."

Except those nanny regs are necessary. I remember reading far too many vehicle and equipment accident reports while I was working in vehicle and equipment maintenance where the so-called experts with thousands of hours of experience got complacent and ended up losing body parts or lives.

"got complacent ".
So we keep adding safety "features" ?

I know anything I own with a safety switch in the seat will have it disabled. I'm a smaller guy and any kind of bounce and the thing shuts down. I'm guessing that's why the bigger tractors dont have a switch in the seat.

Question for the people in the now. Is there even doors that open on the right side? I thought most tractor only had a door on the left.

My tractors never had a seat safety switch.
And if they did I would disable it.
Seat switchs suck!!!

It is an option. Ours do.

Gentlemen, these tractors do have a seat switch. It is not to kill the engine, when the operator falls off, as on a CUT. These machines are driven as opposed to ridden on.:D It's primary function is to alert the operator that he is exiting the safety of the cab while the PTO is in operation. It does not shut anything off, but triggers an alert for operator information. I believe it is, also, tied into a couple of other minor warning functions. The level of idiocy required to turn this machine into a "runaway" is mind boggling. In my experience, the right side door is the norm on small frame 6x20 and 6x30 tractors, which I believe this to be. 6000 large frame and 7000 small frame machines are more likely to have no right side door.
