What Happens When You Don't Change Your Oil

/ What Happens When You Don't Change Your Oil #11
When I was driving a Taxi part time in Florida, it was always a good idea to check all the fluids in the vehicle before starting my shift. One afternoon, a fellow new driver was checking his fluids in his Taxi, when I noticed the apparent mistakes that he was initiating. He was checking the oil level with the motor running and checking the transmission fluid with the motor off. I politely advised him of the correct procedure, but he told me to mine my own business. He continued his reasoning by telling me that his Father taught him to check the fluids that way and that he, himself, was going to do things the way his Father did. Needless to say, while taking a fare to TIA-Tampa International, his Taxi had to towed into the base garage. He had put diesel fuel in his gasoline powered vehicle.
