Way back in the 50's and 60's my father was a maintenance Engineer at the Union Carbide plant. Needless to say he was essential personnel. They would let him go for an hour and he would board the widows in the 2000 SF rancher. When building the place he had 4 Jbolts mounted through the brick fascia around each window and had numbered reinforced plywood panels with orientation marked. Grab the cover slap it up run the wingnuts on top of washers up and move on to the next. After the storm the panels were stored J bolts were greased wing nuts and washers run on three or four threads and ready for the next one.
