between a dash 1 (-1), dash 2 (-2) and a dash 3 (-3) on say a L3400?

Dealer told me it was just emissions although I surely don't believe it is strictly emissions.

** I am sure this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it in a search.

On a L3400 it is strictly emmisions. And the good news if you can find a -1 or -2 they are at a lower dealer cost than current. I would buy it without hesitation.
But if you don't trust your dealer on a small detail like this you should consider going somewhere else were you are comfortable. But he did give you accurate info on a L3400.

Grand L's is a slightly bigger change in the newer dashes. Specifically on cab models as the latest dash allows for a Kubota BH to be installed. Also the headliner material is changed from plastic to cloth for a more upscale feel. The PTO engagement also goes to a push/pull switch. Again older stock means older (lower) cost and differences may not, to many consumers outweigh price advantage.UNLESS a BH is a future consideration.

Thanks.

Reason I didn't exactly believe him is that about half the questions I asked, he had no answer for and had to look up. And this place is Kubota only shop. :(

Heck, he had to ask another guy if the L3400 would pull a 5 ft bush hog without issues. (PTO HP puts it right at the 5hp per ft rule)
