What does this lever do?

New guy here! I have found that going from 4 to 2 wheel drive is not difficult if you just inch the tractor forward or reverse and as it drifts back the lever slides in very easy. i only have 7 hours on my CK30 but have fallen in love with it. my only complaint is I wish it had more leg room, I am not that tall 5'10" but my knees get to hurting after a couple of hours of loader work.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but is the seat adjusted all the way back? I'm 5'10 and have spent the whole day on my tractor without problem.

My owners manual is pretty good,and also,you can buy a more detailed shop manual.

You never have less than 2wd unless 1 rear is in the air ... then diff loc gives 1wd or 3wd. When in 4wd you never have less than 4wd if all wheels are touching. If a front comes up youre down to 2wd. If one rear comes up while fronts are down you have 0wd, but engaging diff loc will then give 3wd. If both rears are up while fronts are down DL will give 2wd.
