What does it take for front hook on loader???

Hey everyone,

I have seen some posts on here of people that have a hydrualic hook on their fel bucket that closes up to hold limbs/rocks/debris etc. I was curious if this is an aftermarket attachment that can be welded onto any fel or are they pretty much a custom unit? I think that I could use something like that and was wondering what the unit would cost me to buy. I am assuming that I would need to add a set of remotes to the front of the tractor as well? I can also tell that I already want to install a ripper bar on the fel was well to help the loader dig into the dirt a little more. If it helps it will be going on a kubota 5040 4x4 tractor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are referring to a ( thumb or a bucket grapple )
some are bolt on and some are weld on, and I think you may find some in the BUILD IT YOURSELF section, Lots of good ideas there /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks. I didn't know hte correct term. I did a google search and came up with a few options for them. I am going to research them but would like to get one in the near future. Thanks again.
