What do you do with your Instant Pot you cant do with a crock pot?

When I find a recipe, wether on my phone or the computer, and I think I want to try it, I hit PRINT and it shows up on my desk a minute later. :)

I take it to the kitchen and make notes as I use it. If we like the recipe, I'll 3-hole punch it and put it in the recipe binder in the appropriate section.

We've gathered quite the list of frequently used recipes.

Maybe i am looking the wrong post? See below.

Oh, OK got it now. I missed CAD's post, which made my responses seem odd.

When I do ribs in my PPC, (power pressure cooker) I PPC them just short of done, then I sauce them, and lay them in a big CI pan and finish them under the broiler. I love the burnt ends and that's the way to get them.

I'll be doing just that with a bunch of pork chops this Sunday when the out of town family shows up, and I bet you those chops will be a BIG hit!

Sounds real good! I have a couple of cast iron platters I do that same thing with. I usually heat them up in the oven ahead of time so they do not cool down the ribs when they go on. A lot of thermal mass there, and yes a little burns ends makes the difference

I was looking at the pork chops at Food Lion today, I wanted to Insta-Pot them, and make pulled barbecue,,
BUT,, the pork chops looked way too lean,, they literally had ZERO fat left on them. and nothing marbled either.

I passed on the chops, then I saw the various cuts of butt.
They had cut up pieces of butt, and they had some fat on them, so I got that instead.
Already cut into pieces, I think this will work nice. AND, the price was about $1.59 a pound,, we will see,,,,,,,,,

We will see, I have not made anything like that in a while, Hmmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,

I'm not a pork rib fan, Beef ribs for me! I do like some of those ideas.

We cut up a bunch of chicken thighs and breasts today that were on sale. Decided to throw all the bones and scrap pieces into the IP and make some chicken stock. It was done in less than 45 minutes and made over 3 quarts. I then stripped the meat and carrots out and saved for the Dogs. They sure loved the "samples" I gave them.
My wife was very pleased and impressed with the broth being made in such a short amount of time.
